I’m pretty sure that’s how the song goes, right?
I will always be a big meditation advocate. Meditation is a powerful tool that can help you to live more fully in the present moment. It teaches you to:
Stop worrying about what you should have done. It’s already happened. You can’t change it.
Stop overthinking about what you would do. You’re not there yet. You can’t control the future.
Start focusing on what you could do right now. It’s the only thing you can truly control.
My advice to anyone wanting to start being more present is to start small.
Start being aware of your breath and how it changes throughout the day.
Take 5 minutes to pause.
Get curious about yourself and how you work.
Look for clues.
Focus on today’s actions.
Keep the small promises you make to yourself so that you can build your own trust.
Learn to own the present moment.
It’s how you can best honour the past.
And it’ll help you show up even better in the future.
Be present.
And bring your presence.
Its a gift.
