I’m very proud to be in community with you all.
I see, hear and appreciate you.
In a world obsessed with comparison, being yourself is a super power.
The word itself holds so much duality and like any super hero, you have a choice in how you show up with this power.
Pride has the power to divide or connect us.
Pride can be the result of love or fear.
Pride can feel like a cage or freedom.
Pride can encourage shame or acceptance.
And whether you are accepting who you are as a person or accepting that you did your best today. Both are powerful conclusions.
Our intellectual understanding of the word can be powerful. But our experiential understanding of the word can transform us.
Because life is about discovering who you are and finding acceptance in that truth.
We so often try to find pride in validation from others but it’s a power no one else can give us.
Your embodiment of this power is a choice and it can have a profound effect on everyone around you.
What do you think the world would look like if you decided to use this power to shine?
I think it’s a thought worth pondering.
