Perspective
Skydiving still remains one of my favourite activities 🪂
Who knew flinging yourself out of a plane could feel so peaceful? 🤷🏼♀️
Besides a huge adrenaline rush, one of the best things that skydiving can provide you is a new perspective.
When you find yourself 15,000ft up in the air and looking down at what feels like the entire world, all of a sudden you feel very insignificant. Your problems feel insignificant.
You’re suddenly able to zoom out and see everything from a different point of view.
Now I’m certainly not encouraging us all to jump out of a plane every time we want to change our perspective.
But there is a highly effective exercise that can help us do this much closer to the ground and it’s completely accessible…
Meditation.
Meditating. Sitting with your thoughts/feelings and learning to zoom out and observe them for what they are (sensations!) It allows you to be aware of the significance of things.
It allows you to change your perspective.
It turns ‘I am my thoughts’ into ‘these are my thoughts’.
It flips ‘this will never get better’ into ‘this will also change’.
It transforms you from the ‘victim’ into the ‘observer’.
Are you tired of being stuck in the same thought patterns? Does life’s problems often feel all-consuming? Do you find that your mind never stops talking yet you feel disconnected at the same time?
Send me a message. I will teach you that you don’t need a new version of yourself this year, you just need a new perspective.
I will teach you how to zoom out and see the bigger picture. And when we do, I’m confident you’ll discover that you’re far from alone.
Big love, Meg 💛✨
