Listen

Listen.

I used to think I was a really good listener.

But I was actually pretty pants to be honest.

(Yet another reason why we should do as Beyoncé says! 👑🐝)

I realised that for a long time I had been listening to respond and not to understand.

And that’s an uncomfortable truth to realise.

It’s one of the few things I regret.

But by realising this and since working on this, I’ve now been able to become a much better listener.

Now I know better, I’m choosing to do better.

Actively becoming a better listener has improved every relationship in my life and especially the one with myself.

I think so many of us could benefit from becoming a better listener. Especially when it comes to our body and the feedback it provides us.

Do you listen to your body when you perform an exercise? Are your biceps fully engaged in the conversation when performing a bicep curl?

Do you listen to your body when it’s fatigued and telling you it needs rest?

Are you hearing your breathing change when your emotional state changes?

What part of your body is actually doing the talking when you feel hungry?

How does your body inform you that you’re feeling a certain way?

If you think the earth has music for those who listen, then just you wait until you start paying attention to what your body has to say 🤯

Be at home in your own home.

Get listening.

Get curious.

Commit to understanding instead of judging.

It’s an absolute game changer.

My messages are open and I’m ready to listen if you ever need some extra support.👂

Big love, Meg 💛✨
