Level Up ⬆️

I’m not sad about growing older,

Like I’m slowly expiring on a shelf.

No, I’m grateful for every year I’m granted,

As I become a little more myself.

28 was a year of many blessings,

And some of the hardest lessons too.

But I start this new year so grateful,

For letting passion lead what I do.

I’ve never enjoyed the birthday spotlight,

But I love the wisdom that another year brings.

And some wise words I’d like to impart on you,

Is to celebrate people over things.

Life is to be shared with the people around you,

It will mean more than any medal.

Because success without anyone to share it with,

Is not a successful level.

So I’m forever grateful for this community,

And the love that you bring my way.

If I can help even just one of you,

Then I’ll be chuffed at the end of each day.

The second lesson I’d like to share with you,

Would be to start despite imperfections.

Because as long as you act with kindness,

You’ll always be headed in the right direction.

My 29th year will be all about impact,

And sharing what I know.

Embracing new relationships and opportunities,

And keeping my heart open as I go.
